have finally got to the point where something needs to be said about the shady furniture companies trying to sell you a pool table. firstly any furniture company ISN'T billiard expert. on top of that i am sick of seeing the same 10 postings every single day from home stars direct and smart buy. i do want to warn people about the way they do business. you are welcome to go to the BBB and see the numerous hits against them for bait and switch and just terrible business in general. i know that a crappy import chinese pool table advertised for $999 looks good but that is just to get you in the door. they will tack on another 700 bucks before you finish with them or more. the tables these guys are selling are the worst in the industry. not only that but they sub contract their work out to teenagers with a screwdriver. so what happens when something goes wrong? well homestars tells you to call the sub contractors to take care of it and the sub contractors tell you to call homestars. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU ONCE THE SALE IS MADE. it is a never ending loop and the buyer YOU are the one that gets shafted in the end. not to mention that your table falls apart in 6 months anyhow due to poor construction and quality. the other point issue i would like to bring up is this "wholesale" to the public. ladies and gentlemen there is no such thing in business as wholesale to the consumer. again just another lie by them to get you suckered in. ALSO NO REAL POOL TABLE MANUFACTUER WOULD EVER SELL DIRECTLY TO THE PUBLIC AT REAL WHOLESALE PRICES. so these guys also post up on craigslist everyday the same thing everyday and craigslist lets them do it. why? it is extremely annoying. on another note i find it hard to believe that any pool table they sell in which they say " retails for $3999 and we are selling for $999" is anywhere close to decent if you have to knock off 3000 dollars from it. please please please beware of these guys. they come and go as a business in general and they are the shadiest of them all. do some research talk to real billiard techs and stores before going out and spending 2000 bucks of your own hard earned cash. BILLIARD TABLES ARE AN ART AND SKILL DON'T LET THE FURNITURE COMPANIES LET YOU THINK OTHERWISE. THAT IS WHAT THEY DO SELL FURNITURE NOT GIVE YOUR TABLE THE CARE IT DESERVES.
